In addition to the splendid location, it is a strategic point to visit the numerous and beautiful beaches of the island. The sandy beach of Lido is 950 meters (14 minutes) on foot, 1.5km by car; while the beaches of Barabarca and Zuccale can be reached in less than 10 minutes by car. The house is located just under 10 km from Portoferraio, just over 2 km from the picturesque town of Capoliveri and 3 km from Porto Azzurro. The last two are among the most beautiful and lively towns on the Island of Elba where you can spend pleasant evenings eating an ice cream, browsing among the many shops along the alleys, or listening to good music (there are many events organized by the local administrations municipal). Even 1 km away there are: a supermarket (COOP), a fish market, a bar, a couple of petrol stations and an excellent restaurant / pizzeria and a characteristic farmhouse. The Park of the Tuscan Archipelago offers the possibility of making numerous excursions. The Calamita promontory offers the possibility of splendid walking or cycling routes for mountain bike lovers and guided visits to the mines.
The Calamita promontory, behind Capoliveri, is full of beautiful cycle paths suitable for gravel or mountain biking. With breathtaking views of the surrounding islands of Giglio (photo on the left), Montecristo, Pianosa and Corsica. At the southern end of this promontory is the Costa dei Gabbiani, with delightful uncrowded beaches (photo on the right).
